Hats off to the PadMan team starring Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor. They have found a unique way to promote their movie, PadMan (releasing on February 9), which has gone viral on the internet.
Sending out a meaningful message that there is nothing to be ashamed of periods, the film unit is throwing the “Padman challenge” at people to click a photo with sanitary pads in their hand and post it on their social media account.
Being unique, the promotion has become immensely popular in a short period of time, where several Bollywood celebrities such as Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma, among others, has accepted the challenge and to continue the chain, hash-tagged other friends and colleagues, to whom they want to throw the challenge.
The latest person to get challenged is none other Team India’s stylish all-rounder, Hardik Pandya.
Former IPL anchor Shibani Dandekar has challenged Hardik to accept the “PadMman Challenge”. However, as Hardik is currently busy with the ongoing India tour of South Africa, he is yet to accept the challenge and post his photo with the pad.
Along with Hardik, Shibani has also thrown a challenge at her friends from the film fraternity- Monica Dogra, Vishal Dadlani, Dino Morea and Rhea Chakraborty.
Earlier, Team India head coach Ravi Shastri joined the PadMan Challenge by posing with a sanitary pad and asked Virat Kohli, Gautam Singhania, Leander Paes to follow the suit.
