VIDEO: Virat Kohli gives a perfect reply after being hit on ribs by Kagiso Rabada

In the second ODI of the ongoing 6 match series between South Africa and India, Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav bamboozled the hosts and laid the foundations for India’s win. Coming down to chase a low total of 119, Rohit Sharma was quick to depart inviting Kohli to the mix. Indian skipper with Shikhar Dhawan stitched 93 runs to guide the visitors to 9-wicket victory and take a 2-0 lead in the series.

While Dhawan hit his 24th ODI half-century, Kohli managed 46 runs as both the batsmen remained not out. In the end, the win looks sweet but Kohli had to take a fatal hit on his ribs. A stinging delivery from South African pacer Kagiso Rabada which was slightly short outside off came towards Kohli who attempted a hook shot.

The ball took an edge off Kohli’s bat and hit his midrib. However, Kohli took all the pain in and replied to Rabada in a great fashion. The next delivery was bowled in the same area, this time Kohli made no mistake and sent the ball out of the park.
