At just 27, Ellyse Perry is at the top of her game.
A professional cricketer for Australia’s women’s side, Perry is an elite athlete and a role model to thousands of young girls around the world.
She played her first cricket international in July 2007 before earning her first soccer cap for Australia a month later. Perry is the youngest person to represent Australia in cricket and the first Australian to have appeared in both cricket and soccer World Cups.
Also, recently Perry led her side Sydney Sixers to victory in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) season 3 and was voted the women’s player of the year at the Allan Border Medal.
What’s more, she’s the international player of the year 2017 and is also at the top of the women’s ICC ODI batting and all-rounder rankings.
Most recently, however, Perry revealed that she is a huge fan of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.
During a promotional video for the ICC Women’s World T20 2020, Perry was quoted as saying, “Hello Sachin, I am a huge fan of yours, I loved watching you when I was growing up.”
The Master Blaster also thanked the Aussie all-rounder for her lovely gesture.
