WATCH: Dinesh Karthik’s outrageous six that stunned Bangladesh

Wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik produced one of the best knocks of his career to blast 29 off 8 balls as India beat Bangladesh by four wickets to win the Nidahas Trophy final in Colombo on Sunday.

Needing five runs off the last ball, Karthik hit a flat-bat six over extra cover to keep India’s 100% T20I record against Bangladesh alive.

Karthik, with his aggressive yet composed batting, turned the match on its head when he came in to bat after Manish Pandey’s dismissal and hit two sixes and two fours in the 19th over off Rubel Hossain to add vital 22 runs to India’s score.

Needing 12 to win off the last over, India lost Vijay Shankar on the penultimate ball but Karthik held his nerve to hit Soumya Sarkar for six, triggering wild celebrations in the dressing room.
