VIDEO: RCB Fan Changing Her Jersey To CSK’s After MS Dhoni’s Arrival At Crease Shows MSD Reigns Supreme

MS Dhoni might have retired from Test cricket and he may no longer be the Indian captain, but when it comes to his popularity, very few cricketers on the planet can stake claim to the kind of love and admiration ‘Captain Cool’ enjoys in international cricket.

If his leadership skills helped Team India scale new heights, Dhoni’s calm and composed approach to the game made him a fan-favourite.

His decision to step down as Team India captain surely broke a billion hearts, but the fact he still continues to lead the charge for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is more than a consolation for those who just can’t get enough of his shrewd tactics on the field.

Recently, the evidence of Dhoni’s popularity was once again highlighted in a viral footage where a fan was seen switching allegiance from Bangalore to Chennai.

During RCB’s encounter with CSK at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium, it was quite obvious to see massive support for the home team. However, such is Dhoni’s aura and popularity amongst Indian fans that as soon as he walked out in the middle, the ‘Dhoni Dhoni’ chants engulfed the stadium.

If that wasn’t enough, the fact that a RCB fan wasted no time in ditching her red jersey to put on the yellow CSK shirt as soon as Dhoni came out to bat proves that there is probably no other cricketer on the planet who can make a fan switch her allegiance to a rival team.

With Dhoni at the helm, Chennai has marked a brilliant return to the IPL. The yellow brigade has won five out of the six games they have played so far and are currently placed at the top of the points table.
