Prithvi Shaw, who made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut for Delhi Daredevils (DD) on Monday, got a bit emotional on-field after he dropped a catch of a Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) batsman David Miller.
The 19-year-old Shaw, who led India to lift the ICC U-19 World Cup earlier this year, dropped the catch of KXIP’s batsman while fielding at extra cover.
The incident took place in the 15th over of KXIP innings when Miller played Amit Mishra’s delivery straight to Shaw at extra cover in the ring, but the debutant got nervous and failed to grab it with both hands.
Following this, Shaw got emotional and couldn’t hold back his tears. His teammate Rishabh Pant was seen consoling him.
