Bollywood actress Saiyami Kher gets emotional on AB de Villiers’ sudden retirement

Still at the top of his game, star South African batsman AB de Villiers announced his surprise retirement on Wednesday. Although ABD’ batting, which dazzled audiences across the world over a 14-year international career, was still as good as it ever was, the demands of international cricket were too much.

“It is time for others to take over. I’ve had my turn and, to be honest, I’m tired. It’s not about earning more somewhere else, it’s about running out of gas and feeling like it’s time to move on. Everything comes to an end,” the 34-year-old said in a video posted on his official Twitter account announcing his retirement.

AB de Villiers, however, said that it was an extremely tough decision for him to make, and he believes that it is the right time for other talented players to take over.

But ABD’s decision to retire from international cricket has shocked everyone and it is no surprise that the social media is flooded with the farewell messages for the great man. However, Bollywood actress Saiyami Kher has also joined the list now who wants De Villiers to play a little longer.

His decision to retire is very surprising given the fact the ODI World Cup is less than a year away and he was managing his workload keeping the mega event in mind. There was a lot of controversy about him picking and choosing the series after which the legend decided to make a comeback into all the formats of the game to give it a final shot. But it seems that his body taken a toll which has forced him to take a tough decision.

Saiyami Kher’s emotional tweet:

“Oh noooo @ABdeVilliers17 please play a little longer. Please 😢 #abdevilliers”, her message read.
