MS Dhoni is a very reserved personality and does not reveal much about himself, be it on the cricket field or off it. A cool and composed character, the former India captain likes to keep his personal life low-profile.
While the veteran cricketer has disclosed so many things about himself over years or even in his biopic ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, certain things about personal life still remain undercover.
Fans got to know about Dhoni’s first girlfriend Priyanka Jha through the movie itself. Priyanka’s role was played by Bollywood actress Disha Patani.
And now after more 1.5 years of the release of the biopic, we got to know that Priyanka Jha was not MS Dhoni first crush. In fact, Captain Cool fell in love with a girl during his school days.
Dhoni, who is currently leading Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was recently a part of a promotional event with sponsors Gulf Oil. Present along with the likes of Shane Watson, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja and a few other CSK players, Dhoni was bowled with a tricky question.
The wicketkeeper-batsman was asked about his first ever crush and after some reluctance at first, he finally spilled the beans. A magic trick performer helped Dhoni reveal the name. “There’s an A in the word. All girls’ names have an A,” said the magician. Dhoni then went on to reveal that ‘A’ was the third letter in the name.
Finally, the performer held a placard over Dhoni’s head and the Ranchi lad said. “Yes her (first crush) name is Swati. Don’t tell my wife, okay?”
Dhoni went on to add that he last saw Swati back when he was studying in the 12th standard in 1999. He jokingly asked everybody not to reveal the same to his wife Sakshi.
Dhoni completed his class 12th from the DAV JVM, Shayamali in Ranchi. He is now married to Sakshi, with the couple having a daughter named Ziva.
Dhoni always seems to enjoy the support of his better half. Sakshi is mostly present with him during his cricket tours, be it in India or overseas.
