This Twitter conversation between Danielle Wyatt and Shubman Gill ahead of Women’s T20 challenge is pure gold

England’s women cricketer Danielle Wyatt will be flying to India for the Women’s T20 Challenge Match which is set to be played at the Wankhede Stadium on 22nd May ahead of the IPL 2018 Qualifier 1.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning for Women’s IPL and as part of the build-up, popular women cricketers like Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Suzie Bates, Meg Lanning and Harmanpreet Kaur among others will take part in this T20 exhibition game scheduled to played later this month.

“We are planning to get a women’s IPL in place in two to three years,” BCCI administrator Vinod Rai was quoted saying to the reporters.

Wyatt looked very excited by the news and she therefore expressed her delight on Twitter. “Can’t wait for this! ???? Back to Mumbai ☺️,” she wrote.

She was in India as a part of England women’s team squad which toured here for a T20 tri-series (including Australia) and an ODI bilateral series played ahead of the beginning of the IPL.

Young India U-19 star batsman Shubman Gill, who is a part of Kolkata Knight Riders team this season, responded to Wyatt’s tweet and told her the wait is worth as it is going to be a big platform for women cricketers.

“The wait will be worth it. Hahah. Welcome to India,” replied Shubman.

Wyatt further went saying, ‘Thanks youngen’.
