A century stand between skipper AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli took Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to their sixth successive win against Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla as the visitors registered a crucial five-wicket win on Saturday night.
Chasing 182, after Kohli fell for a 40-ball 70, de Villiers held his own, remaining unbeaten on 72 to take the side over the line with an over to spare to keep RCB alive in the tournament, and officially knocking DD out of IPL 2018.
This is the sixth successive time that the Delhi franchise has failed to progress beyond the league stage.
