WATCH: Rahul Tripathi plays an awkward shot, flipping the bat out of his hand

Rajasthan Royals (RR) opening batsman Rahul Tripathi got into an awkward situation during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 eliminator match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

On the third delivery of the second over of RR’s innings, Tripathi tried to play a back of the length delivery from Prasidh Krishna but the bat flipped out of his hand. He could not get hold of the bat while running towards the non-striker’s end to complete a single.

After completing the run, Tripathi asked the umpire whether he could go and pick up his bat. He and RR skipper Ajinkya Rahane shared a laugh as the latter handed him his bat.
