Umesh Yadav bowls the most comical delivery in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) during an IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
How often do you see an outright pacer bowl a ball that did not reach the other side of a crease? Never, obviously!
But Umesh Yadav did the unimaginable which made even the most stoic of faces in cricket, Kane Williamson, break into a smile.
It happened in the 16th over of 2nd innings when Williamson was on strike having scored 55 off 37 balls and Yadav had the ball.
The RCB pacer ran into the SRH skipper, but just at the point of delivery, the ball slipped out of his hands and went way up in the air. Williamson, who initially was contemplating hitting a shot, backed out on realizing that the ball was never going to reach him. Even RCB captain Virat Kohli got in on the act and was caught on camera laughing.
