Ever stylish Rishabh Pant starts his Test career with a SIX

It was a big day for young cricketer Rishabh Pant as he made his debut in Test cricket. Indian skipper Virat Kohli handled him the test cap before the start of the match at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

With this, Pant became the 291st player to represent India in Test cricket. Pant came into the spotlight due to his brilliant batting performance in the Indian Premier League in which he played for Delhi Daredevils. Selectors were pretty impressed with his current form and decided to include him in the squad for the tour of England.

Pant came to the crease after the dismissal of captain Virat Kohli. It was Adil Rashid again who took the wicket of Kohli who was batting beautifully at 97, just 3 runs away from his 23rd test century.

Pant who is known for his hitting, decided to take on Adil Rashid after facing just 1 delivery. On the second ball of his inning, Pant came down the pitch and hit Rashid for a six straight down the ground. Pant became the 12th batsmen in test cricket history to start the career with a six.

At the end of day 1, India managed to score 307/6. Rishabh Pant was still at the crease, batting at 22 runs off just 32 balls with 2 boundaries and a six.
