Celebrities reacts to India’s thumping victory against Pakistan in Dubai

The much-anticipated clash of the Asia Cup 2018 was reduced to a lopsided affair as India marched to a comfortable eight-wicket win over arch rival Pakistan on Wednesday.

After an ordinary performance against Hong Kong, the Indian bowling unit displayed a superlative show to bowl out Pakistan for a paltry 162 in 43.1 overs, after their skipper Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and opted to bat first.

During the chase, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front as he brought up his fastest fifty in ODIs. The opening pair of Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan added 86 runs in 13 overs before the captain got out for 52. India raced to the target comfortably in the 29th over, losing just two wickets.

The result was inconsequential as both teams have already qualified for the round-robin Super Four stage following wins in their respective opening group matches against Hong Kong.

India will meet Pakistan again in the Super Four stage on Sunday (September 23).

Following the Men in Blue’s thumping victory, celebrities from every nook and corner of the country wished them for the resounding show at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
