Team India’s star batsman Rohit Sharma is all set to lead India in the Asia Cup 2018 scheduled to be played in the United Arab Emirates from September 15.
Regular skipper Virat Kohli has been rested for the tournament and hence, the responsibility to lead the team was handed to his deputy.
Rohit is not a part of the Test team but is a regular player in the limited-overs side. On the day of him being named as the skipper, Rohit took to Twitter to express his joy as he interacted with his fans during a live session.
The Mumbaikar asked his fans to put in questions with hastag AskRo and he answered to many of them. One of the users asked him about his favourite player of the current generation and in reply to it, Rohit named AB de Villiers as the best batsman.
