Stats: Fastest to smash 300 sixes in international cricket

With dynamics of cricket changing so drastically in internationals, the number of sixes being hit during the game has gone up as well.

In ODIs, the two new balls system is not helping the bowlers as it doesn’t get too old and therefore, reverse swing has pretty much gone out of the picture.

India’s Rohit Sharma is certainly one of those cricketers who takes full advantage of these changes.

It’s still a challenge for the batsmen to clear the boundary line and when it comes to that art, not many do it with perfection as Rohit does. The ‘Hitman’ of cricket — Rohit Sharma — on Sunday attained yet another milestone in his outstanding limited-overs career by completing 300 sixes in international cricket.

During the game against Pakistan in the Super Four stage of Asia Cup 2018, Rohit also became the second fastest player to reach that mark and joined an outstanding list accompanied by few of the greatest cricketers of all time.

Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi is at the top of this list.
