A Test debut is a special occasion and when you make it count, it is all the more special. Hanuma Vihari did just that.
The 24-year-old made 56 off 124 balls with the help of 7 fours and 1 six. It was a well composed knock that helped India recover from 160/6. Along with Ravindra Jadeja, he put on 77 runs for the 7th wicket.
Earlier, when Vihari completed a single to register his maiden Test fifty, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli quickly came to the balcony and clapped in delight, applauding the debutant.
