West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo showed the world that he still remains one of the best T20 players in the current generation when he smashed five consecutive sixes in an over during a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match between Trinbago Knight Riders and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Basseterre on Sunday.
Bravo came to the bat in the 17th over of the match with Colin Munro nearing his half-century on the other end. He took just eleven balls to smash 37 runs to help the Knight Riders post a staggering 199/4 in their 20 overs. He launched an unprecedented assault on his West Indian teammate Alzarri Joseph who came to bowl the 19th over of the game.
Bravo missed an attempted pull on the first ball and Joseph certainly had no clue what awaited from in the next few minutes. The next five deliveries were smashed, hammered and sliced over the ropes everywhere from behind square leg to the third man, over long on and beyond the deep extra cover.
