On Day 3 of the ongoing 4th Test against England, KL Rahul continued his excellent form with the catching by grabbing another stunning catch in the slip region. This time it was the English all-rounder Moeen Ali, who failed to replicate his performance with the bat after getting a promotion in the line-up.
It was a length delivery from Ishant Sharma that curved away from off, straightening from round the wicket. Ali failed to account for the late movement as his front foot stuck in the crease while trying hard to play it with soft hands.
Hence the edge was dying to the right of Rahul who did well to complete the catch.
The batsman stood for few minutes as umpire Bruce Oxenford went upstairs with soft signal out. The TV replays proved that Rahul’s fingers were underneath the ball.
