Batting woes for opening batsman Alastair Cook continues in the ongoing Test series between England and India. The former England skipper entered the series under immense pressure and has done very little so far to shut his critics up.
Cook is averaging a poor 19 in Tests this year. It is his lowest yearly average since he began his Test career with a splendid century against India in 2006.
In the first innings of the ongoing 4th Test, Cook managed to score just 17 runs and his hopes of scoring big in the second innings was ended by Jasprit Bumrah.
The left-hander could score only 12 before being caught by KL Rahul in the slips.
Bumrah made Cook to drive one and the latter ended up edging it. The ball was pitched up and Cook just could not resist the temptation and paid a hefty price.
Meanwhile, Rahul, nearly made a mess of an easy catch before completing it.
