With the Asia Cup underway, in the absence of Team India’s head coach Ravi Shastri, the side’s senior-most player and former captain MS Dhoni took over the charge during their net session in Dubai on Sunday.
There was a touch of nostalgia for the players, journalists and the officials present in the ICC Academy where Dhoni stood exactly at the same place where Shastri would have stood guiding both the Indian batsmen and bowlers.
Being the most successful Indian captain, there are no doubts about his leadership skills and with an addition of the experience factor, Dhoni could make a great coach for the Indian team post-retirement.
