WATCH: When Alastair Cook dismissed Ishant Sharma to take his only international wicket

Alastair Cook, one of the finest batsmen of his time, recently retired from international cricket. He played his last game against India at the Kennington Oval in September 2018.

Cook, who featured for the Three Lions in 161 Test matches, retired as the leading run-scorer for England in Tests.

Playing a Test match against India in 2014, Cook came forward to bowl during India’s second innings. India then toured England under the captaincy of MS Dhoni and the first Test turned out to be a draw.

Cook who bowled for the first time made an immediate impact as he dismissed Ishant Sharma to take his first and only international wicket.
