Young wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan tried to emulate MS Dhoni’s signature style to effect a run-out during a match between India Red and India Blue in the Duleep Trophy final, on Tuesday.
Before joining India Red for the final, Kishan recently played in the quadrangular series featuring India ‘A’, India ‘B’, Australia ‘A’ and South Africa ‘A’.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) uploaded the video of Kishan trying to effect a run-out by guiding the ball in between his legs towards the stumps. Although the batsman had reached well inside the crease by the time ball dislodged the bails, but Kishan’s technique was much similar to that of Dhoni.
