Mohammed Siraj and Hanuma Vihari will join their respective sides in the Vijay Hazare Trophy knockout stages. BCCI has released Siraj and Vihari from the Indian squad that is competing with the Windies in the ongoing Test series.
Vihari has represented India in one Test match so far – the fifth and final Test against England at The Oval last month. Meanwhile, Siraj is yet to make his Test debut for Team India.
The selectors have called limited-overs specialist Manish Pandey and Punjab batsman Shubman Gill to join the Indian squad in Hyderabad as replacements.
“Mohammed Siraj & Hanuma Vihari have been released from the Test squad to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Knockouts. Manish Pandey and Shubman Gill have been drafted into the side as substitutes,” a BCCI statement read.

Vihari and Siraj will fly from Hyderabad to Bengaluru where their quarter-final match is scheduled to take place on October 15. Vihari will lead Andhra in the tie against Hyderabad that has Siraj in their ranks.
