Virat Kohli has reached another major milestone in his career – crossing 10,000 ODI runs during the second ODI between India and West Indies on Wednesday, 24 October. The India captain achieved the feat – becoming the 13th cricketer and 5th Indian to do so – during his 157-run knock at Visakhapatnam.
While social media buzzed with chatter, one post on Twitter managed to get some special attention. This tweet came in from England Women’s cricketer Danielle Wyatt.
Danielle Wyatt and Virat Kohli share a special storyline. Wyatt has openly hailed the Indian captain as one of the greats and is an ardent follower of the star batsman. Ever since she proposed Kohli to marry her back in 2014, after Kohli’s sensational run in ICC World T20 2014, the Twitter world has always kept an eye on the connection that two cricketers share.
Since then, there have been several instance when Wyatt has openly expressed her love for the game of Virat Kohli. And now, when Kohli reached to 10,000 runs landmark, the English all-rounder came up with a special tweet for him. Praising the fact that it took just 11 innings for Kohli to reach 10,000 mark from the 9000 mark, Wyatt remarked that it was rather too easy for the Indian skipper. She praised him as the greatest of all time.
Here is what Danielle Wyatt posted on Twitter:
“Too easy for the King,” Wyatt wrote with a GOAT emoji.
