WATCH: Eccentric scenes on the field as Bangladesh players appeal for obstructing the field against Brendan Taylor

Eccentric scenes on the field took place during the third ODI between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Saturday.

It was the 13th over of the match when the bizarre incident took place. In the fifth ball of Bangladesh bowler Ariful Haque’s over when he attempted to throw the ball back at the stumps to run-out the Zimbabwean batsman Brendan Taylor.

Taylor came in between the line of stumps, leading the Bangladeshi side to appeal for obstructing the field.

After a few minutes of discussion, the on-field umpires concluded that Taylor hadn’t moved much after he played the shot, and stood at the same position. As a result, the umpires rejected the appeal and declared the batsman to be not-out.

However, Bangladesh wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim and fast bowler Ariful Haque seemed to be unhappy with the umpires decision.
