Prithvi Shaw impresses cricket and bollywood world with dream debut

Teenager Prithvi Shaw marked his Test debut with a brilliant century as India ended Day 1 of the first Test against the Windies on 364/4.

Shaw (134 off 154 balls) hogged all the limelight on the opening day of the Rajkot Test as he became the youngest Indian, at 18 years and 329 days, to score a Test century on debut.

Also, Shaw is the second-youngest Indian to reach the three figure-mark in the longest format, Sachin Tendulkar holding that record courtesy of his century against England in 1990 at the age of 17 years and 107 days.

Shaw made history early in the post-lunch session when he punched Keemo Paul through the covers for two.

Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Amitabh Bachchan and Preity Zinta among others lauded the young cricketer’s memorable knock.
