Cricketers around the world prefer to carry some lucky baggage with them to have a better fortune. But what fans got to see during the toss in the first T20I between South Africa and Zimbabwe was very rare.
Faf du Plessis, the Proteas skipper asked his teammate JP Duminy to spin the coin for him against Zimbabwean captain Hamilton Masakadza.
Duminy flipped the coin and the outcome was against what the visiting captain had called: “head”. Both du Plessis and Duminy were ecstatic, especially the former, whose trick worked.
After winning the toss, Du Plessis jokingly said, “Important for a captain to know his weaknesses and that’s why I brought JP Duminy as specialist coin tosser.”

Talking about the match, Zimbabwe lost the first T20I after being bowled out on just 126; 34 runs lesser than South Africa’s score. It was Imran Tahir who bamboozled the Zimbabwean batting line-up with a fifer. He was also presented with the Man of the Match award.
