Australia’s Nathan Lyon took a sensational catch to dismiss Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman on Day 2 of the second Test match at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The incident took place in the 26th over of Pakistan’s second innings as Zaman hit from the middle of the bat, Lyon showed great reflexes and the ball stuck into his hands. It was a brilliant caught and bowled dismissal by Lyon and Zaman was sent back after another half-century (66 runs) in his debut Test match.
The off-spinner almost had his head taken off by Zaman’s shot but managed to get a hand up on time and grabbed a blinder.
Lyon wasn’t even looking at the ball when it went into his hands. “Catch it or die,” one commentator said of the remarkable effort.
