WATCH: Rachael Haynes takes a stunning one-handed catch against New Zealand

Australian women’s cricketer Rachael Haynes has pulled off a stunning one-handed catch against New Zealand.

It was immediately labelled ‘the catch of the summer’ by the commentary team.

In the 12th over of the match, Ellyse Perry was steaming in after taking the wicket of NZ skipper Amy Satterthwaite the previous ball – and the second ball of the over produced the goods.

Perry bowled a length ball to Jess Watkin, who managed to mistime her shot – sending the ball in extra cover region.

While it appeared Watkin’s hit would fall comfortably on the ground, a scrambling Haynes had other ideas.

Haynes’ back was to the ball but she managed to keep her eyes on it, taking a brilliant one-handed diving catch.

The catch was more special given Haynes caught the ball in her non-preferred left hand after making incredible ground.
