Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma on Monday once again proved why he is one of the best cricketer of this generation, apart from his batting acumen.
During the fourth ODI against the West Indies in Mumbai, Rohit Sharma played a scintillating knock of 162 at his home ground. It was Rohit’s seventh 150 plus score in the 50 overs format — a world record.
During the West Indies’ batting, when the 31 year-old was fielding near the boundary, fans started chanting ‘Rohit.. Rohit’. After hearing the fans chanting his name, he pointed to the front of his jersey and asked them to chant India.. India.

After winning the Man of the Match award in the post-match presentation, Rohit said, “While batting, I don’t think about scoring hundreds or double-hundreds. I just want to go bat, score runs and get the team to good position.”
