Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma may be in the top of his form in the limited-overs format having scored a couple of centuries and fifties already in 2018, but he has forever struggled against the leg-spinners.
Australia knowing that introduced Adam Zampa against him in the seventh over, right after the powerplay. And Aaron Finch’s decision paid off as Zampa troubled Rohit at the crease before dismissing him with a flipper. Rohit departed for 23 runs in the third and last match of the T20I series at the SCG on Sunday.
The ball delivered by Zampa had enough pace. Rohit looked to play it across as he went backfoot, but the ball zipped through to beat the batsman and rattled against his leg stump.
