It was quite surprising to see Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah smashing balls during the net session at the Gabba ahead of the T20I series opener against Australia.
On Monday, Bumrah faced his bowling counter-parts in the nets alongside other Indian batsmen. He slogged the ball like a top-order batsman without any fear. He even played some brilliant strokes down the ground and also faced some low full-tosses with ease.
“That moment at the nets when @Jaspritbumrah93 went Hammer and Tongs #TeamIndia,” BCCI wrote on Twitter sharing a video of Bumrah smashing the ball in the nets.

Bumrah will be spearheading India’s pace attack on the series alongside the experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar across formats. The 24-year-old, who made his international debut on 26th January in 2016 against the same opponent, will be hopeful of delivering an impactful performance with the 2019 World Cup in focus.
