On Day 2 of the ongoing Boxing Day Test at the MCG, Indian skipper Virat Kohli showcased an emphatic display of his fitness, although the same wasn’t matched by his partner Cheteshwar Pujara in the middle.
In the 120th over of India’s first innings when the duo was batting, Kohli flicked the Aussie pacer Pat Cummins off towards the deep mid-wicket boundary. He took off instantly, making his partner run for three but while Pujara started slowing down towards the end of the third, Kohli was in a position to complete the fourth.
The tired Pujara, who was yet to complete his third run then gestured at his captain saying that it was enough. The incident left the commentators in splits.
