Australia lost the Boxing Day Test against India at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) by 137 runs on Sunday and gave an unassailable 2-1 lead to their opponents.
After Virat Kohli & Co. clubbed 443 in their first innings, the Aussies found themselves in a rabbit hole from which they couldn’t pull themselves out. However, maybe not with their performance, but they managed to win hearts after they roped in Archie Schiller.
The 7-year-old Schiller was added to the 13-man Australian squad for the third Test and was appointed as the Co-Captain of the team.
He was granted his dream of leading the national side by Cricket Australia (CA) and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Recently, Schiller was seen practicing with Nathan Lyon when rain delayed the start of play on the fifth day in Melbourne. Lyon was seen giving the youngster a catching practice.
To everyone’s surprise, Schiller took the catch without much difficulty with a proper technique that would even make the best of fielders proud.
