On the opening day of the second Test between Australia and India at the Perth Stadium, the tourist’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane took a stunning catch to dismiss the home team’s middle-order batsman Shaun Marsh.
It happened on the last ball of the 77th over when Marsh attempted to cut a short delivery from Hanuma Vihari only to edge it to Rahane at first slip. Marsh, who came in to bat at No. 4, ended up scoring 45 (98) with the help of six fours.
Meanwhile, Rahane, who is ever-sharp in the slip cordon took a blinder, despite the ball deflecting away from the pads of wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant.
