On Day 3 of the Boxing Day Test being played at the MCG, Australia’s left-handed batsman Travis Head was unable to keep out a searing Jasprit Bumrah delivery which snuck under his bat and rattled all three stumps.
The delivery by Indian speedster was full and shaping back into the left-hander, Head was rooted to the crease as he played an ambitious whip, doesn’t cover for the angle, the ball grazed the inside edge and clattered into the middle-stump.
Bumrah was continuously targetting the stumps and it paid off. Travis Head could manage a mere 20
before his stumps went flying.
Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who usually remains quite animated on the field, was pumped up and rightly so, given the position his side is in the Test match at the moment.
