It was yet another cakewalk for the star-studded Indian batting lineup after the bowlers put in a outstanding performance to bowl New Zealand out for 243 in 49 overs after losing the toss in the third ODI at the Bay Oval in Tauranga on Monday.
Captain Virat Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma stitched together a 113-run partnership for the second wicket to lay the foundation for the 244-run chase.
Rohit top-scored with 62 while Kohli scored 60 before Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik took India over the line with an unbeaten 77-run stand for the third wicket. Rayudu remained unbeaten on 40 while Karthik scored 38 not out.
The match was nicely set up for the Indian bowlers led by Mohammed Shami, who finished with 3 wickets for 41 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal bagged 2 wickets each.

The big three didn't get a hundred and yet India have absolutely thrashed the Kiwis to seal the series. Didn't expect Australia to be the tougher team to beat… 😂
