South Africa vs Pakistan: Fakhar Zaman caught using cuss words on stump mic

Pakistan’s star batsman Fakhar Zaman was caught using cuss words on the stump mic during the fifth ODI against South Africa at the Newlands.

The incident occurred on the final delivery of the 12th over of Pakistan’s innings when Fakhar was facing Kagiso Rabada. Tackling a short of a length delivery, the Pakistani opener was deceived by the lack of pace from the Proteas speedster before getting struck in the ribcage.

Seeing his partner getting a blow on the body, Babar Azam went up to Fakhar to check up on him. In his defence, Fakhar was caught on the stump-mic saying: “Slow ho gaya. Yaar woh 140 hai, beh*n***d slow aa raha hai. (It got slow. He is 140 mate, beh*n***d it is coming slow)”.

Fakhar ended up finishing as Pakistan’s highest scorer, as the visitors posted 240 for 8 in their full quota of 50 overs.

Captain Faf du Plessis and Rassie van der Dussen then saw South Africa home as the hosts registered a 7-wicket win, clinching the ODI series 3-2.
