A tribute video of Brendon McCullum with his “Bash Brother” have proved an instant hit with fans.
Footage of McCullum, who this week publicly announced his retirement from the Big Bash League (BBL), with hard-hitter Chris Lynn was posted by the Brisbane Heat on Sunday and it immediately grabbed the attention of cricket fans on social media.
McCullum, who will continue playing in other T20 leagues before turning his attention to coaching, linked with the Heat in 2011 and has been a regular contributor to the team’s fortunes in the tournament since 2016.
After retiring from international cricket, McCullum returned to BBL in 2016 to captain the side before ceding the top job to fellow “Bash Brother” Chris Lynn.
