IPL 2019: Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma fined for slow over rate

It has not been a great start for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Rohit Sharma-led team has so far won just one game out of three.

Moreover, Rohit has been fined Rs. 12 lakh for his side’s slow-over rate in the match against Kings XI Punjab on Saturday (March 30).

“As it was his team’s first offence of the season, under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr. Sharma was fined Rs 12 lakh,” said an IPL media release.
