IPL 2019: When pizza delivery boy halted play during the match between SRH and RR – watch video

A pizza delivery guy halted play for few minutes during the IPL 2019 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad on Friday.

During the first innings when Royals were at 101 for 1, Sanju Samson was on strike to face Vijay Shankar in the 12th over.

On the fifth ball of the over, Shankar was stopped mid-way through his run-up by Samson as he saw a pizza delivery person distracting his view while having a walkabout just above the sightscreen.

However, the brief halt didn’t break Samson’s concentration who was batting on 44 at the time. The 24-year-old went on to score his second IPL hundred and remained unbeaten on 102 off 55 balls as the visitors posted a challenging 198 for 2 on the board in their full quota of 20 overs.

But the score still wasn’t daunting enough for Sunrisers as they reached the target in the 19th over with 5 wickets in hand. David Warner smashed 69 off 37 balls while Jonny Bairstow (45) and Shankar (35) also contributed well in the run chase.
