Australian opener Usman Khawaja continued his stellar form in the ongoing five-match ODI series against India to score his second hundred in the format during the final tie at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi on Wednesday.
Riding on Khawaja’s ton, Australia set a challenging total of 272/9 runs against the hosts in the series decider.
Australia was 182 for 4 in 36.2 overs, and looking to post a huge total, but the Indian bowlers made a brilliant come back and restricted the visitors to 272 runs. The Aussies could add 90 runs in the last 13.4 overs.
Virat Kohli’s animated reaction
The Indian captain was spotted giving send-off and fuming after taking a sharp catch off ‘centurion’ Usman Khawaja. Kohli, who was standing at cover took the catch after Khawaja hit the ball uppishly off Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
After completing the catch, the local hero threw the ball furiously on the ground and celebrated in his own style.
