The Proteas leg-spinner Imran Tahir was seen jumping in joy when the Sri Lankan hard-hitter Thisara Perera missed a wild slog with the hosts needing 12 runs off final two balls in the Super Over.
Tahir was clever as he kept the ball out of Perera’s reach. Once he missed the ball, Tahir was found highly celebrating the moment even as there was a ball left. He was heard shouting “yeah!” and punching in the air and after bowling a wide ball, Tahir’s wild celebrations returned after he conceded one run in the final delivery.
Even, Perera was left shell shocked for a moment after watching Tahir’s celebration at the Newlands.

Tahir bowled splendidly throughout the first T20I as he conceded 21 runs in his full quota of four overs. Both the teams managed to score 134 and hence forcing the game to a Super Over before South Africa clinched it.
