India veteran MS Dhoni has shared screen space with his wife Sakshi for the first time in a recently launched TV commercial of a popular toothpaste brand ‘Colgate’.
In the 45-second clip, the brand showcases Dhoni’s inner strength. He talks about the time when his daughter Ziva was born four years back but he couldn’t be around as he was away on national duty.
‘Jab Ziva hui thi, I couldn’t be there. It was more important at the time that I stayed back with the team. I just smiled and got ready for the job at hand,’ says Dhoni reminiscing India’s 2015 World Cup campaign in Australia when he was the captain. “That’s Mahi he always smiles,” says Sakshi after that.

Dhoni and Sakshi got married in 2010 in a private ceremony which included members of both their families and some close friends. After marriage, Dhoni’s rise as a captain continued and under his leadership, India won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, Champions Trophy 2013 and ended as the semifinalists in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
