A six on the final ball of the first innings by Jasprit Bumrah left Indian captain Virat Kohli in delight as the hosts posted 358 for nine in their stipulated 50 overs against Australia in the fourth ODI at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali on Sunday.
The tumbling of wickets in the final 10 overs was all forgotten by the Indian fans as Bumrah smashed the final delivery off Pat Cummins into the stands – his first six in international cricket.
It was a full-length delivery by Cummins and Bumrah went for the aerial stroke. He cleared his front leg and swung his willow ferociously. Fortunately, the leather found the meaty part of the willow.
The shot had enough force and it comfortably sailed over the mid-wicket boundary for a massive six.
