IPL 2019 – Twitter Reactions: David Warner signs off on a high as SRH thrash KXIP by 45 runs

In a mid-table clash that would help the winners strengthen their bid for the play-offs place, Kings XI Punjab were completely outplayed by Sunrisers Hyderabad, who with their 45-run victory not only moved up to the fourth position but also boosted their already positive Net Run Rate.

David Warner made his final IPL 2019 outing count with a sensational 81 off 56 balls – along with useful contributions from the top-order batsmen – setting up the Sunrisers’ total of 212 for 6.

In reply, KXIP opener KL Rahul scored a fighting 79 off 56 but lack of support from the other end, with Rashid Khan running through the middle order, condemned Ravichandran Ashwin & Co. to their seventh loss in 12 games.

Warner’s IPL 2019

David Warner has had a sensational IPL 2019. His last six scores in the season read 70, 51, 50, 67, 57, 37 and 81. The southpaw has been remarkable at the top of the order for the Sunrisers, scoring 692 runs in 12 matches as a warm-up before his return to the Australian side for the upcoming World Cup. Warner’s runs have come at an average of 69.2 and a strike rate of 143.86.
