Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni, on Sunday, hit the biggest six of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019.
However, the heroics of 37-year-old MSD went in vain as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat CSK by one run at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Chasing 162 to win, CSK had a nightmarish start, reeling at 28-4 at one point, when Dhoni arrived at the scene and took control. Soon, a vintage Mahi was at the display, who smashed an unbeaten 84 off 48, including 5 boundaries and 7 sixes.
MS Dhoni’s monstrous six
It was on the second ball of the last over when Dhoni gave a throwback to the immense-hitting he is capable of at his peak. It was a short of length delivery from Umesh Yadav and Dhoni smacked it out to the roof of Chinnaswamy stadium. The gigantic six was clobbered at a distance of 111-meters as he timed his shot to perfection.
