IPL 2019: WATCH – MS Dhoni smashes Jaydev Unadkat for 3 consecutive sixes in the final over (CSK vs RR)

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni played a well-calculated knock against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Sunday at the Chepauk Stadium to seize momentum from the visitors and power his side to a formidable 175 for five.

Dhoni scored an unbeaten 75 runs from 46 balls to turn the match in favour of the home team following an inspiring start from the Ajinkya Rahane-led team. But what stayed as the highlight of his knock was the three consecutive sixes against Jaydev Unadkat in the final over.

Unadkat delivered a slower bouncer in the third ball as Dhoni comfortably dispatched it over the deep square-leg boundary. On the next delivery, the left-arm pacer changed the line with a fullish ball outside off and this time Dhoni smashed it over long-off. Then on the final delivery, Unadkat took the pace out of the ball and placed it shorter in length as Dhoni smacked it over long-on.

Another player who starred on the day was Dwayne Bravo. With RR needing 11 runs to win in the last over, Bravo was handed the ball by Dhoni. He gave away just three runs and picked up the wickets of Ben Stokes and Shreyas Gopal to complete CSK’s victory.
