Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw got the Delhi Capitals off to a great start and put their team in the driver’s seat in the first six overs in an IPL match at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi on Friday.
Just when it seemed like the hosts would chase down their target of 169 without much trouble Dhawan hot himself out in the seventh over.
The southpaw went for the reverse sweep of a Rahul Chahar delivery but failed to execute it. The ball then crashed on to Dhawan’s pads and ricochets on to the stumps off the bat.
Later, Delhi managed to score 128/9 in 20 overs and went down to Mumbai by 40 runs.
